New Jersey Music Teachers Association

Founded in 1954, the New Jersey Music Teachers Association (NJMTA) is an affiliate of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). The objective of the NJMTA is to advance the musical knowledge and to promote professional growth among music teachers, and to conduct activities which encourage and support teaching, performance, composition and the appreciation of music. We are a nonprofit organization whose funds are used solely to accomplish these objectives.

MTNA Student Composition Competition Eastern Division result:

Jacob Gelber, student of Nancy Modell, who represents New Jersey at senior level, is the winner for MTNA Eastern Division Student Composition Competition. Jacob will advance to the National Competition as the national finalist.
