NJMTA 2010 Conference

The theme of the three day 2010 NJMTA State Conference is “Artistry and Practicality – Hand in Hand.”   Each day of the conference features a recital by the winners of  NJMTA and MTNA  Competitions.  On Friday and Sunday are recitals by the winners of the NJMTA Young Musicians Competition.   Saturday boasts recitals by MTNA Performance Competition Winners , Composer Commission Winners,  and NJMTA Chinese Instruments Winners. Also available are lectures, exhibits, and Master classes at the intermediate and advanced levels, and of course, Sunday’s Annual Board Meeting.

NJMTA 2009 Conference

The theme of the NJMTA 2009 State Conference is “Pathways to Romanticism.” There are several interesting lectures and master classes.  Winners of NJMTA and MTNA competitions are showcased in recitals on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with the Young Musicians Competition winners on Friday night and Sunday, and MTNA Performance Competition Winners, Composer Commission Winners, and NJMTA Chinese Instruments on Saturday. Sunday’sAnnual Reports meeting for members, features Special Guest Gary Ingle, Executive Director & CEO of MTNA.

NJMTA 2008 conference

This year’s conference theme is “Artistry Through the Ages.” We are pleased that this year’s Conference Intermediate Master Class will take place on Saturday November 22 at 10:00 am at Gill Chapel of Rider University. Randall Faber (one of the editors of Piano Adventures Method Books), our Master Teacher, will coach four intermediate level piano students. There are also master classes in clarinet and advanced piano, as well as an introduction to the Taubman Technique of teaching Children using Suzuki and Traditional Repertoire. Each day of the conference has a recital by winners of NJMTA and MTNA competitions.

NJMTA 2007 Conference

MARK YOUR CALENDAR for November 16-18 for this year’s conference, which will be at Westminster Choir College at Bristol Chapel.  It promises to be a stimulating, thought provoking, creative and enriching event. The conference theme for 2007 is “The Magic of Music.” Catherine Rollin, our Master Teacher, will coach four intermediate level piano students, and lectures will focus on teaching music in the 21st century, teaching young beginners, and technique. Our competition winners will be showcased in recitals each day of the conference.  Our banquet this year will be at the Super Star East Chinese Buffet.

The theme of the 2006 NJMTA State Conference will be “Exploring New Horizons.” This is a conference that you will not want to miss. Spread the good word to your colleagues. We promise you a conference that will stimulate, enrich your creative thoughts & experiences. Our conference will be held at Rider University in the Bart Ludeke Center. Lawrenceville is approximately 5 miles south of Princeton. Our facility offers us ample rooms, a beautiful auditorium, excellent parking facilities & plenty of space for exhibits. NJMTA and MTNA competition winners are showcased in recitals on Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
