The Advanced Master Class is an event that occurs during NJMTA’s Annual State Conference. Upto four students are selected through auditions and will perform for the Featured Guest Artist of the conference.

STUDENT ELIGIBILITY: Please refer to the General Information page.
Age: 13 years old ~ Collegiate:Undergraduate level
Students are not permitted to perform two years in a row for the Master Class; Students who have performed in the 2019 master class are not eligible to audition in 2020.
TEACHER ELIGIBILITY: Please refer to the General Information page.
REPERTOIRE: One selection of 10 minutes or less from the advanced repertoire from any musical period in any style, such as a movement from a Beethoven Sonata. The selection is at the discretion of the teacher. No arrangements or simplified edition will be accepted. Repeats will not be played, unless the repeats affect the integrity of the piece. Variations must be performed in their entirety. Memorization is required.
TEACHER DUTY: Teacher duties and duty fees are waived for 2020.
