Chiu-Tze Lin (orchestra director, piano) & Hyojin Lee (cello)

Sunday, November 15, 2020 at 6:00 - 7:00 PM

Orchestral playing is an important aspect of the musical experience for string instrumentalists. This session will focus on how to successfully prepare students for each aspect of the orchestra audition: solo work, sightreading and scales/arpeggios.

Dr. Hyojin Lee has a very vibrant studio, and many of her students have garnered top seats in the New Jersey Regional and All State Orchestras at the intermediate and high school levels. Chiu-Tze Lin, the conductor of the Bravura Youth Orchestra, has frequently served as a judge in the Regional and All State Auditions in strings during the last ten years. They will share their experiences in how to ready students for auditioning effectively.
