“Early Nineteenth Century German Idealism in Beethoven’s Eroica Variations, Op. 35
This session investigates the Hegelian dialectic in the metamorphosis of the basso del tema and tema in Beethoven’s Eroica Variations, Op. 35. After a brief introduction on the study from which the topic of the talk is taken, the presenter will discuss excerpts from Op. 35. Scores and recordings will be shown.
